Because I'm insane, I have a speedwriting challenge for myself this October:
A novella in 20 days, no biggie
Nothing ever happens in Bellbrook. That's what Darcy Bates both loved and hated about the town. But this autumn, her morbid love for the season is quickly turned to an agitated distress when a killer breaks loose in the Halloween maze on her farm. She can feel the blood pooling on the ground like its staining her own skin because she has a secret: she's a witch.
As the bodies begin to pile up Darcy's patience begins to fray. She knows it isn't her place to insert herself in the investigation, but the land demands her power. It's both a kinship and a curse, forcing Darcy towards a precipice of what she is willing to risk in order to save lives.
Join Darcy and he two familiars, Gin and Tonic, on the chase to stop this masked killer before he disappears.
